Columbus has just approached me, the King of Portugal, and presented his ideas to sail to India. I then conferred with other explorers and mariners who claimed that the idea was unthinkable and unrealistic. Due to this admission, I refused to fund Chris Columbus’s expeditions and explorations. He will never get anyone to fund them because he demands such an obscenely high price for them.
Also, I have plenty of explorers out there in the world now bringing me plenty of goods and new items that I desire. To lose such a large sum of profit on a person whose journey and logic everyone has openly declared as faulty would ruin my reputation, and would cost me a ton of money. All in all I will not be funding anything Chris decides to do and I don’t doubt everyone else will also agree with me and not fund his expeditions.
